About Healing Touch Herbals, LLC

My name is Aniema Udofa, and I am an Accountant turned Herbalist. I am so excited to share my newfound interest, knowledge, and expertise of nature’s connection to the prevention of diseases and holistic wellness.

Growing up in Southern Nigeria, my grandparents were an enormous influence. I watched them heal many people with botanicals and herbs.  My grandfather was a trained nurse who worked in the general hospital in our town, but I noticed that sometimes medical doctors would consult him when a patient would not recover with the use of pharmaceuticals. They would say, “Ete Edet, it is time to go into the bush for some medicine (roots).” My grandfather would oblige, and after taking whatever medicinal root/herbs my grandfather got from the bush, the patient would recover and get discharged from the hospital.  This went on for a long time, but at the time I did not pay close enough attention to learning the roots or his foraging techniques. In recent years, when family members become ill with no improvement after multiple doctor’s visits, I thought back to my grandfather. I started doing research about nature’s way of healing and herbal medicine.  I found out about some herbs and roots that helped my family members and this started my journey to becoming an Herbalist.  I decided to formalize this journey by attending the Maryland University of Integrative Medicine to learn and discover more about the power of natures medicine.

Our most valuable asset is HEALTH!  Without good health, one cannot function properly.  We must take care of our health holistically with botanicals and herbs to prevent sickness and to avoid chronic diseases the way the Creator intended. Herbal medicine is considered the “People’s Medicine” and we ought to return to nature to re-discover and enjoy the healing power of herbs.

My desire to help as many people as possible and preserve the knowledge of herbal medicine, led to the formation of Healing Touch Herbals, LLC. According to several published sources, many people have turned to Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM), which include herbals as an important source of health care in the U.S. (Skidmore-Roth 2001; Pierce 1999) but few people still possess the knowledge of herbal remedies.  These skills may soon be lost to history if we do not do work to support herbal medicine.

Since the inception of Healing Touch Herbals, LLC, we have helped many customers achieve optimum health, and some have been able to control chronic illnesses.  Join me on this journey to enjoy the fruition of the old saying “prevention of diseases is better than cure” by turning to botanical and herbal remedies in combination with any conventional medicine.  Check out the Healing Touch Herbals, LLC website at www.healingtouchherbals.com
